How do you play Guess the Player?

A photo of a footballer is shown heavily blurred. Pick one of four name options. Every wrong guess clears the photo up a little until you either guess correctly or run out of guesses.

How many guesses do I get?

Accepted Answer

You get 4 guesses per player. The photo becomes clearer after each wrong answer, so even a tough player gets easier to spot by your last guess.

Question 3

Are there any hints?

Yes — the player's nationality is shown from the start. Get a guess wrong and their position is revealed, then a second wrong guess reveals which league they play in.

What is the Daily Player mode?

Accepted Answer

Daily Player shows the same mystery footballer to every visitor on a given day, picked using the date as a seed. Come back tomorrow for a new one.

What is Random mode?

Random mode picks a new mystery player from our database every round, so you can keep playing and building a streak for as long as you like.
