Biography
Early Life
Born in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, near Barcelona, on October 18, 2003, Alejandro Balde is a true product of La Masia — Barcelona's legendary youth academy. He came through every age group with the same hallmarks that characterise the best players produced there: technical fluency, positional intelligence, and a style that looks effortless.
Breakthrough
Balde broke into the first team in the 2022-23 season and never looked like a player adjusting to senior football — he looked like he had been there for years. His speed, his delivery from wide areas, and his composure at 19 years old in a team full of experienced internationals announced him as a generational full-back talent.
Career
He won La Liga in his debut season and became a regular starter for Spain's senior national team before the age of 21. He was part of Spain's Euro 2024 winning squad — a tournament won by one of the finest young Spanish sides in the national team's history.
Personal Life
Balde is quiet and focused — typical of La Masia graduates who are taught that team play comes before individual expression. He has spoken warmly about growing up near the club and how representing Barcelona was the only dream he had as a child.
Legacy
Still only 22. Euro 2024 winner. La Liga title holder. A La Masia story still being written — and the chapters so far are outstanding.
