Biography
Early Life
Born in Santa Rosa, La Pampa in 1998, Alexis is the son of former Argentine international Carlos Mac Allister. His family has strong Irish heritage — the Mac Allister name tells its own story. He came through Argentinos Juniors before Brighton spotted him.
Breakthrough
Brighton signed him from Boca Juniors and gave him time to develop. His improvement over three Brighton seasons was remarkable — from occasional contributor to one of the Premier League's best midfielders. Liverpool paid £35M in 2023 and he was immediately brilliant.
Career
