Biography
Early Life
Born on June 3, 2005, in Angers in western France, Désiré Doué had football in his veins from the start. His parents are originally from Ivory Coast, and the family settled in Angers where his talent was spotted early. He came through the Stade Rennais academy, where his pace, technical ability, and creative instincts set him apart from the moment he arrived.
Breakthrough
Doué made his Ligue 1 debut for Rennes as a teenager and quickly became one of the most exciting young wingers in France. He was named Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year before his 19th birthday — an extraordinary achievement. PSG moved fast and paid €60 million in the summer of 2024 to secure France's most exciting young talent.
Career
At PSG, Doué has adapted remarkably well to the biggest stage. Playing on the left flank, his ability to drive at defenders, his creativity in tight spaces, and his finishing power have made him a handful for any defence in Europe. He is now a regular in the France national team setup.
Personal Life
Doué's family background — Ivorian parents raising a French international — is a story that resonates across modern France. He is known as one of the most personable members of PSG's young squad, with a natural joy about the way he plays that translates off the pitch too.
Legacy
At 20, he's already worth €60 million, playing in one of the world's best squads, and doing so with a freedom that is rare at any age. The next decade could well belong to Doué.
