Lamine Yamal Nasraoui Ebana was born on July 13, 2007 in Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona. His father is from Morocco and his mother from Equatorial Guinea. He grew up literally in Barcelona's backyard, joining La Masia's academy as a young child and rising through every age group with extraordinary speed.
Breakthrough
Yamal made his Barcelona debut at 15 years and 290 days โ the youngest ever player to appear for the club. He broke into the Spain national team at 16 and at Euro 2024 he stunned the world: his curling goal against France in the semi-final, the night before his 17th birthday, became one of the most iconic strikes in tournament history.
