After impressing at Internacional, Alisson moved to Roma in 2016 and quickly became one of Serie A's best goalkeepers. His composure, distribution and shot-stopping caught the attention of Europe's biggest clubs. Liverpool paid £67M in 2018 — a world-record fee for a goalkeeper at the time.

Alisson transformed Liverpool's defence from suspect to elite almost overnight. Champions League winner in 2019, Premier League winner in 2020.
