Biography
Early Life
Born in Bahía Blanca, Argentina on August 22, 1997, Lautaro Martínez came through Racing Club's academy in a city with a proud football tradition. He emerged as a striker of real physical and technical quality — powerful in the air, explosive over short distances, and intelligent in his movement.
Breakthrough
Inter Milan paid €23M for Martínez in 2018 and he spent his first season adapting to Italian football. By his second, he was partnering Romelu Lukaku in arguably the best strike partnership in Serie A history. The pair powered Inter to their first Scudetto in eleven years in 2020-21.
Career
After Lukaku left, Martínez became Inter's undisputed number one — scoring 20+ goals in multiple consecutive seasons and winning Serie A again in 2023-24. On the international stage, he played a key role in Argentina's golden era: Copa America 2021, World Cup 2022 (where he scored in the final), and Copa America 2024.
Personal Life
Lautaro is calm and professional — a leader without theatrics. He married model Agustina Gandolfo in 2023. His loyalty to Inter, despite interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona for years, reflects a character that values environment as much as individual glory.
Legacy
The best striker in Italy. One of the most complete number nines in world football. Two Serie A titles, a World Cup, and still in his prime.
