Biography
Early Life
Born in Laguna Larga, Córdoba, Argentina on November 15, 1993, Paulo Dybala grew up with football in the family — his father Miguel played semi-professionally. He joined Instituto de Córdoba's youth system and moved to Palermo in Italy as a teenager, beginning a career that would make him one of the most technically gifted South Americans of his generation.
Breakthrough
Dybala's breakthrough came at Palermo before Juventus paid €40M in 2015. At Turin, he spent seven seasons winning five consecutive Serie A titles and becoming one of the most loved players in the club's history. His 'Dybala mask' celebration became iconic and he wore the number 10 shirt with the kind of confidence the shirt demands.
Career
After Juventus let him leave on a free in 2022 — a decision that shocked many — Roma signed him. He became their talisman, producing moments of individual brilliance that kept Roma competitive and the fans returning. He won the Europa Conference League with Roma in 2022 and scored in the 2022 World Cup final with Argentina.
Personal Life
Dybala is in a long-term relationship with Oriana Sabatini, daughter of Argentine actress Catherine Fulop. He is deeply loved in Italy despite his Argentine nationality — a testament to the warmth and quality he has brought to the game there across more than a decade.
Legacy
A genius in the true sense — technically brilliant, capable of moments that most players cannot even conceive. His career has been partially written by injuries and squad politics, but the body of work is magnificent.
