AC Milan Enter Summerville Race as Real Madrid Eye Dumfries and Newcastle Target Yohanna

Thursday's gossip column is doing the most today, and honestly it's not bad reading. The headline act is AC Milan reportedly throwing their hat into the ring for West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville, who has been one of the more exciting players to watch in the Premier League this season. The Italian giants are apparently ready to rival several top-flight English clubs for his signature, which tells you everything you need to know about how far the Dutch winger's stock has risen since his Leeds days.

Summerville is quick, direct and has that bit of unpredictability that defenders genuinely hate facing. West Ham will not want to lose him, but if Milan come knocking with serious money and the lure of European football, it becomes a very interesting conversation. Premier League clubs will need to move sharply if they want to win that race because Milan are not exactly a tough sell to a player looking to take the next step.

Over in Spain, Real Madrid are closing in on Inter Milan's Denzel Dumfries, which feels like a signing that makes a lot of sense for both parties. Dumfries has been a consistent performer in Serie A and has the engine and athleticism that suits the way the best sides in Europe want to play at right back these days. Real Madrid need cover and competition in that area, and Dumfries is proven at the highest level. Inter will presumably bank a decent fee and reinvest, so everyone walks away reasonably happy.

Finally, Newcastle are reportedly targeting Zadok Yohanna, a Nigerian teenager who is catching eyes with his potential. Newcastle's recruitment has been genuinely impressive over the past couple of years and they have shown a real willingness to invest in young talent with upside. Yohanna is clearly one for the future rather than an immediate fix, but that kind of forward planning is exactly why Newcastle are becoming a club others take seriously in the transfer market.

Three stories, three clubs with genuine ambition. The summer window is shaping up nicely. Let me know your thoughts.
