Biography
Early Life
Born in Belgrade, Serbia on January 28, 2000, Dušan Vlahović came through the Partizan Belgrade youth system before joining Fiorentina as a teenager. Serbian strikers have a rich tradition in Italian football, and Vlahović inherited that tradition while also making it entirely his own.
Breakthrough
After two quiet seasons in Florence, Vlahović exploded in 2020-21 with 21 Serie A goals and then followed it with 17 in the first half of 2021-22 before Juventus paid €81M in January 2022 — one of the biggest winter transfer windows deals in history. He became an instant fan favourite in Turin.
Career
At Juventus, Vlahović became the central figure around whom the club's attack was built. His goals kept them competitive in difficult seasons, and he consistently scored 20+ goals per season. His contract situation became a major talking point heading into 2026 with expiry approaching.
Personal Life
Vlahović is an intense, focused character. He has spoken about the pressure of being Juventus's number 9 — a shirt with enormous historical weight in Turin. He is deeply proud of his Serbian identity and captains his national team.
Legacy
One of the best pure number nines in European football. Still only 26 with his peak years ahead of him. His next contract destination will define whether he becomes a great or merely very good.
