Monday's gossip column is doing its usual thing of casually dropping a load of transfer stories on us before we've even finished our morning coffee, and honestly, this batch is a good one.
First up, Aston Villa winger Morgan Rogers is reportedly attracting serious interest from both Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain. That's quite the billing for a player who has quietly become one of the more exciting young attackers in the Premier League. Rogers has that directness and confidence on the ball that makes defenders nervous, and it's no surprise that clubs of this stature are sniffing around. For Villa, keeping hold of him this summer could be a real test of their ambitions. Unai Emery has built something genuinely impressive at Villa Park, but when PSG come calling with their seemingly bottomless wallet, things get complicated fast. Arsenal fans will be hoping their club can win that particular race.
Speaking of Arsenal, there's a bit of a sting in the tail for Gunners supporters this Monday. Real Madrid's interest in Declan Rice is reportedly growing. Now, Rice has been outstanding for Arsenal since joining from West Ham, and he's exactly the type of player Madrid love to poach from Premier League clubs — big, physical, technically sound and in his prime. Arsenal will obviously want to keep him, and you'd imagine the player is fairly settled in north London, but when Real Madrid decide they want someone, they tend to get their man eventually. Something to keep an eye on.
Over at Liverpool, Alisson is apparently keen on a move to Juventus. That one raised a few eyebrows. He's been one of the best goalkeepers in the world during his time at Anfield, but at 32 and with Caoimhin Kelleher clearly ready to step up, perhaps both parties are ready to move on. Juventus would be getting themselves a serious goalkeeper if that deal came off.
All in all, it's shaping up to be a lively summer window, and we're not even close to the end of it yet.
Let me know your thoughts.
